32 myhomemove employees raise thousands for charity
32 employees from the UK’s leading provider of mover conveyancing services, myhomemove, have completed the 12km hike to the top of Mount Snowdon to raise over £3,000 for charity.
The team of conveyancers and legal support staff took on the challenge of climbing the famous Welsh mountain on Saturday 16th May. Their route started at Pen-y-Pass, ascending up the Pyg Track and descending via the Miners Track.
Speaking after the event, Rob Gurney, Trustee of the My Home Move Charitable Trust, said, “I am incredibly proud of the team and their efforts to raise money for the good causes the Trust supports. As well as giving up their free time to take on this worthy challenge, climbing 3,560 feet with no more experience than weekend hikes, they also raised over £3,000 for the My Home Move Charitable Trust. Through the Trust and the generosity of all of myhomemove’s staff, we are able to support good causes in the communities in which we operate.”
The My Home Move Charitable Trust was set up in 2014 to bring together the range of charitable activities being conducted across the company. Money raised for the Trust is distributed to the chosen good causes and charities.
myhomemove’s next fundraising challenge is taking place between 2nd July and 6th July, which they are calling the myhomemoveathon.
myhomemove’s Head of Legal Practice, Rob Gurney, will be walking 132 miles, starting in Northampton and stopping in Leicester on his way to Manchester, visiting each of myhomemove’s conveyancing operation centres.
In addition, myhomemove employees will be collectively travelling 10,000 miles by completing various activities, such as walking, running and cycling, over the course of the five days.
